Criteria for training as an EMDR therapist

EMDR therapy requires a background in mental health care.

Any training provider should adhere to the following entry criteria as provided by EMDR Europe. Providers are required to be accredited by one of the professional associations approved by EMDR Europe, but will also need to provide evidence of this.

If you train with a provider but do not meet the entry criteria below, you will not be eligible for Accreditation.

Mirabilis is an accredited provider of EMDR training by EMDR Europe and our lead trainer, Professor Paul Miller is a consultant psychiatrist and EMDR Europe accredited Trainer and EMDR Institute (USA) facilitator. Paul Chaired the training subcommittee of EMDR UK and Ireland Association and introduced EMDR therapy to Northern Ireland’s NHS.
